Penang Trip

Today was hell at work, had so many things to follow up and settle. Just a short break from Friday till Monday, almost drove me crazy.
Well, this month kinda sway for me, so many shipments. All came together, OMG.
The accounts dept got this new girl that came to replace our previous colleague to handle our department's accounts, well....i think we wont work well together.
Basically i know she is new, but i find that she's kinda lazy. Each time she doesnt know anything, she'll just ask me than trying to find it out herself. It gets kinda irretating after awhile.
Feon seems to have something against her also. She also feels that the new girl is kinda lazy and depend on us too much.
Last week, i walked to her desk to pass her something, and guess what, she was on the phone with her frend lor. Instead of reading up and learning more about her job scope, she's happily chatting on the phone with her frend.
Got a feeling our dept's accounts gona cock up sometime soon.
Gona get our partial bonus end of this month, and a big fat one on July. Time please past fast!!!
Ok, i should do some update on my recent trip to Penang. =D

Our flight was at 10am at Senai Airport (JB), and we had to leave the house at 7am on Fri morning.
On Thurs night, Mr Foo and i still stayed up late to play gunbound with Gene and Gerald. Haha
Once we touched down the airport, Mr Foo's relatives came and pick us up at the airport. They really played a great hosts. The last time we went Penang (3yrs ago), they took care of us really well too.
FIrst thing first, they brought us to have lunch at a coffee shop. Wow, we ordered fried kway teow, kway teow soup, poh piah, curry mee, prawn noodles soup, sliced bbq pork, char siew etc etc.
Life's never been so good. All the food were like so much nicer than those in singapore. Really cheap and good!
I can never find any stalls in singapore to compare with the food standard in penang.
Of coz, not to forget the Chendol =)
Basically, im not a chendol lover, i dont like the taste of coconut. But eversince 3yrs ago after trying the chendol that they recomended at a push cart along (Penang Road), i fell for Chendol. N only that chendol. So 3 years later, im back to have my long awaited sweet dessert =p~
We stayed at Shangri-la hotel, nice place! Very comfy and cosy. On the 2nd night, Mr Foo and i went to his parent's room and we ordered midnight room service. I ordered cheeseburger, he ordered fish m chips and his mum ordered fried kway teow.
Man, i was shocked after i tasted the cheeseburger. Its so damn nice!! I gota say, its the best cheeseburger that i've had!
The beef patty is thick (but not hard, its so tender and soft), with a slice of cheese on top. OMG, while typing this, i'm missing the cheese burger so much. =(
And yup, the 4 of us pigged out in the comfort of the hotel room.
Mr Foo's dad (a very healthy man who works out daily in his personal gym at home) also couldnt resist the food there. I could see that he ate much more than his usual portion. Haha
After the 3rd day, he complained that his pants seemed tigher and stomach buldging out. Hehe
On Sunday night, we attended his cousin's wedding at a resturant. I could see the difference in the wedding dinner at Penang compared to Singapore. The resturant looked very packed and small, with teenagers in t-shirt and jeans serving guests.
The stage was super small too. The entrance and exit of the resturant was super narrow too. We had to line up just to walk up the stairs and enter the resturant.
Mr Foo's mum was telling us:" Can you imagine if there was a fire breakout?"
Man, i don't dare to think about it.
The food was so-so only. When the sharksfin was served, Mr Foo said:" The fake sharksfin is here."
After tasting, i had to agree that it tasted very pirated. No wonder his mum swallowed 2 spoonfull and gave the rest to him.
Ok, im not here to complain about the standard of food we had. But theres 1 thing that i would like to compliment. The wedding photos taken we so nice! So natural and sweet looking. But anywae, the bride (Mr Foo's cousin) was born with a sweet look in the 1st place. =]
After the wedding, we were not full as the food was not very appetizing. Therefore, ROOM SERIVCE again! Haha
I ordered my cheese burger and i shared it with Mr Foo this time.
His mum ordered the fried noodles. That night, his mum slept together with us. (She fell asleep after eating). LOL
Not much shopping was done. Didn't had the time. Bought a pair of shoes from VINCCI and some hair clip. Bought my PLAYBOY ciggy holder- For fun, coz i love PLAYBOY stuff.
Mr Foo's mum bought me a sling bag when she was doing some shopping. =)
I wanted to change with her some Ringget for my shopping (as i only brought Sing $$). She gave me RM$200 and asked me whether it was enuff. She didn't wana take my $
On the way back to Singapore, i passed her Singapore $, but she didn't wana take it, and told me to give her back in Ringget when i have. So i just retured her my balanced Ringget in my pocket.

Gosh, this post is super long man, my neck is breaking while typing this essay.
