Monday 7th June
Chinatown with mum, ah yi and Pris in the afternoon.
Met them at kovan train station and we headed off to Chinatown to get my wedding stuff.
Had lunch at the hawker centre, and i had yong tau fu. After where we headed to OG to get my wedding bedsheets.
Managed to find 1 set that is pretty traditional/oriental looking with the "xi" words on it.
Suprisingly, the threadcount is also quite high. 420thread count (if im not wrong)
Usual price $400, but after the 20%+20%, we got it at $250.
I like the bedsheet design coz its oriental looking, yet not that obiang looking.
Ok, bedsheet settled.
After where we proceed to another location to get the wedding necessities (for the guo da li)
Bought our bedside lamp, coins for the "an chuang", tea set, umbrella, fan, ang paos, bedroom slippers, sewing kit etc
So many logics and meanings for each items that i seriously couldn't remember!
Good thing that we're not gona do the super traditional wedding, if not i'm sure gona be lost!
Dad came and pick us up after our loads of shopping and i was so damn tired aft a long day of walking.
Si Dian Jin settled!
Fatty's mum brought me to Poh Heng to get my jewelry set and I've got mine from Mummy, ah yi, 3rd uncle and grandma!
I'm so gona get a safe box soon lor!
By the way, mum called me on sunday and gave me a shocking news. (at least its shocking to me lah)
Grandpa passed down some gold to me and gave me a big angpao as my wedding gift.
Shall not mention the amount, but i can only say im super grateful towards him as this extra $ can really help me get through my wedding stuff and plans that i have after the wedding.
Thank you grandpa!
We should be leaving for perth next month. Hahah
Fatty's dad is going there for golf and of course how can we not tag along!
Its winter and OMG, i'm gona freezeeeeeeeeeeeeee and have super dry skin
Ok, shall update soon!
Till then!
